Silly String

This is an "older" photo, and by older I mean about a week old. It was our first real snow. The way it was coming down though, it looks like silly string flying around. Guess mother Nature was having a party.

Bundle Up

It is almost one month until Christmas, so I had to bring out some Christmas and wintry decorations! I'm not sure what it is, but I really like the way the beat up stairs look in this photo.

Up, Up and Away!

Oh how I wish to be on a plane, flying to any of the sunny places. Think I will try to sneak into a friends suitcase next week leaving for Mexico.

Wintry Weather

Cut out parts of our railing, and it actually doesn't look too bad.

Lest We Forget

In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead.
Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Hanging On

I just had to take a photo of these three lil guys. They won't give in to the peer pressure of the rest of the tree and fall. If all their friends jumped off a bridge, apparently these three wouldn't. Their mothers would be so proud.

Walking in a Fall Wonderland

A blanket of leaves padded the walk path through our mini-forest.

Twirly

How cool is mother nature sometimes? These vines remind me of string licorice.

Interesting

I'm not sure what type of tree this is, so I have dubbed it the Interesting Tree.
