Tasty Carrots

Carrots, garlic, butter, puff pastry...some awesome looking steam. Other than sticking to the pan a little, this was a tasty side dish!

Spaghetti Sauce

It started out as individual items on a counter. Now they are one and in jars...eagerly waiting their pasta debut!

Cooked Chard

So this was the chard after being cooked. Does it look appetizing? I can't tell because I know it wasn't.

Silver

I find that plastic plant pot plates provide proper protection, but isn't a silver one just way nicer!?

(And how 'bout that alliteration!? Maybe not a gold winning one, but maybe silver?! Oh gosh, I crack me up this morning.)

Swiss Chard

So, in my defense, this looked alot like rhubarb when it was just a little plant. And now that we have realized it is not the tasty pie filling we thought it to be, I figured I might as well see if it is a tasty non-pie filling food.

Conclusion: It is not tasty. It is not good. It tastes like dirt...but it sure looks pretty.

Lettuce just seems really photogenic.

Rainy Day

If it wasn't so hot outside (and moreso in my non air conditioned house), it might be a nice day to light some candles. I swear yesterday my thermostat just said "too hot". Ok, maybe it just said 28.5 degrees...BUT if it had the ability to have words marqueing across it's screen I'm sure it would of said it was a touch warm.

How much is that kitty in the window?

Curley Cue

How cool is a cucumber plant? Reminds me of curled ribbon on Christmas presents. The present that you put that extra little effort into by grabbing the scissors and creativley pulling the blade against the ribbon. Not everyone gets the curly ribbon you know.

Greens Galore

Baby greens are delicious. I guess I should have staggered the planting times a little more.
