It could have been a long weekend, but being a deadline day, I'm at work and just a short time to post. It was a busy weekend so I didn't have the camera out. I may be taking the Photo A (Week)Day challenge.

A wicked storm moved through a few days ago, so I semi-cheated and these photos are from last week. The winds that brought a tornato to our area, had our elephant ear plant down for the count. It seemed to be okay after the fight, but I got a few shots after the rain stopped.

Back to work; enjoy!

TGIF

In honour of Friday, the day used for get togethers, shingdigs, perhaps even a luow or two, I have some shots from our bar (newly constructed, and quite lovely I must say!). Perhaps they will inspire you to grab a drink and shake your thang!

Cheers!

Dolan's Treasure

Living behind a baseball diamond, one would expect the odd baseball to come crashing into your yard, with shouts of "HEADS UP!". It happens every few games, and we don't mind. I think our dog may have learned that those words acutally mean "incoming new toy".

The team's ball boy needs to be on his game if they want their ball back unscathed. Alas, most don't make it back into the pitcher's mit.

I just thought that Dolan positioned the above mentioned treasures just perfectly for some good shots.

Veggie Patch

So here is the first of my photo's for the "photo a day". As stated in my previous post, I had an idea to photograph a food item, so I photographed the 2 pepper plants that are my whole and (not so) complete vegetable patch. There is just one baby pepper so far...

Start up

So, the kickoff. The big BANG. The exciting first post. To be expectantly filled with visions of greatness and wonderful sights.
But, this first post shall be void of any photos or exciting first post stories. Look at this as getting the menu at a restaurant. Lots of words with the anticipation of a great meal to come.

I think I just had a first photo idea.

Now, may I take your order?
